• Disability Office has established a permanent Mental health Mentor post in recognition of the increasing numbers of students with mental health problems • Do working with EUSA and other services eg Accommodation, throughout the institution, to provide training on mental health issues • Mental health policy being reviewed and updated (Mental health sub-group) • Disability Office moving to more accessible premises in main student area in summer 2011. 6. Increase accessibility of public facing websites and web-based applications. • The University’s website project continues to work towards consistency of approach by transfer of individual service websites to the Polopoly system. • The website team works closely with the Disability Office Technology Advisor on all stages of development to assess and ensure accessibility (includes testing by disabled users) • Sourcing of a new e-recruitment system underway (see 1 above) will be put in place with due care given to accessibility for users and applicants 7. Ensure that disability equality is embedded in key policy and practice developments. • Continued development and implementation of the: - Dignity and Respect Framework; - University’s leadership development programmes; - Approach to equality impact assessments, including training provided for Academic Registry staff involved in policy review and service delivery and EIAs being undertaken on major change projects. • Continued service delivery on a range of employment/support matters through Human Resources, Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Staff Counselling • Equality and Diversity Committee and Vice-Principal leading work on production of new Single Equality Scheme and Action Plan in 2011.
