4. Shared responsibilities
In Schools where there is a separate CAL and CoA, the School may feel that some of
the responsibilities listed within the remit for one post are more appropriately covered
within the remit of the other post. In this case the Head of School should provide the
holder of each post with a clear written remit and ensure that all of the responsibilities
outlined above are covered. If the posts are split between two people it is important
that they work closely together to develop a connection between the two roles and that
they each have a clear understanding of how the responsibilities are divided between
them.
