3.4 Thematic Reviews (web link to flowcharts)<br />

Student Support Services are reviewed in clusters appropriate to the chosen<br />

theme. The review style will necessarily have to be fluid to address a variety<br />

<strong>of</strong> themes <strong>and</strong> the reporting procedure will not be as prescriptive as other<br />

Review categories in order to allow reviewing <strong>and</strong> reporting in the most<br />

appropriate manner. A Thematic Review Remit will be tailored to suit the<br />

requirements <strong>of</strong> the theme on a review by review basis.<br />

3.4.1 Theme identification<br />

Themes are identified by QAC mainly through the Enhancement Led<br />

Institutional Review, Annual (QA) Reports, Periodic Enhanced Review<br />

findings, College Reports <strong>and</strong> Enhancement Themes.<br />

3.4.2 Student Support Services in this category:<br />

• All Student Support Services are potential participants in this type <strong>of</strong><br />

review.<br />

3.4.3 Reporting procedure, submission to QAC Sub-committee<br />
