Recommendations <strong>and</strong> implementation<br />

The Task Group makes the following recommendations:<br />

1. A dedicated Collaborative Provision web page is created to provide<br />

comprehensive information to staff <strong>and</strong> student.<br />

It is suggested that the webpage will:<br />

• be linked to existing web pages,<br />

• be linked to the Collaborative Provision Repository hosted by GaSP,<br />

• have templates/examples for Memor<strong>and</strong>a <strong>of</strong> Underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>and</strong><br />

Agreement,<br />

• hold guidance, codes <strong>of</strong> practice <strong>and</strong> policy (linked to golden copies<br />

on other host web pages).<br />

Responsibility: Academic Services Quality Unit<br />

2. Schools, which take part in Student Exchange/Study Abroad/Work<br />

Placements <strong>and</strong> Internships, should review their documentation against<br />

the QAA Collaborative Provision Precepts <strong>and</strong> update as necessary.<br />

Responsibility: Lynn Hyams for CHSS <strong>and</strong> David Williams for CSE,<br />

Ruth Stewart for CMVM.<br />

3. With regard to Student Exchange <strong>and</strong> Study Abroad programmes, a<br />

location on the <strong>University</strong>’s committee pages to be identified for<br />

information about the Year Abroad Progression Committee <strong>and</strong> its<br />

updated terms <strong>of</strong> reference, with link to CSPC.<br />

Responsibility: Remit to CSPC<br />

4. The regulations concerning internships <strong>and</strong> placements are subject to a<br />

review at the earliest convenience; not just in the context <strong>of</strong> meeting<br />

Quality <strong>and</strong> Accreditation requirements but also in the very real sense <strong>of</strong><br />

providing essential support for students undertaking such activities, either<br />

voluntarily or as part <strong>of</strong> their studies.<br />

Responsibility: Tina Harrison, Director <strong>of</strong> Quality Assurance <strong>and</strong><br />

Academic St<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> S<strong>and</strong>ra Morris, International Office, Inger<br />

Sieferheld, Business School.<br />

5. The regulations covering multiple/double degrees should be clarified<br />

concerning undergraduate programmes. A process for clearer<br />

identification <strong>of</strong> degree types should be developed as part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

regulation review process.<br />

Responsibility: Remit to CSPC with involvement from Researcher<br />

Experience Committee.<br />

6. Develop Risk Assessment template/guidance, benchmarking against best<br />

practice, for university-wide use.<br />

Responsibility: Tina Harrison Director <strong>of</strong> Quality Assurance <strong>and</strong><br />

Academic St<strong>and</strong>ards, David Williams CSE, <strong>and</strong> Susie Rice, GaSP.<br />

7. Quality Assurance Procedures<br />

• Reports on Student Exchange arrangements, which are currently<br />

submitted to the International Office, should also be submitted on an<br />

annual basis to the Quality Assurance Committee.<br />

• Annual School Quality Reports to include report on collaborative<br />

provision <strong>and</strong> student performance.<br />
