In his third season with the organization, Kevin Gilmore was appointed Chief Operating Officer<br />

with the Montreal Canadiens on April 7, 2011. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for several<br />

key areas of the business, including corporate sales, marketing and sales, communications and also<br />

oversees the development of major projects while working in close collaboration with club owner and<br />

team president Geoff Molson.<br />

Before joining the Canadiens, Gilmore headed the Socal Soccer City Holdings, LLC, a private<br />

management firm with oversight of the California-based sports facility he founded back in 2009. From<br />

2006 to 2009, he was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Planning with the<br />

Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., (AEG). As such, he looked after all new business development<br />

initiatives for AEG’s overall world operations, including the management of venues, professional sports<br />

teams and the promotion of shows. He was responsible for financial analysis, recommendations to the<br />

Board of Directors, negotiations and implementation in connection with all new business opportunities<br />

at AEG. He played a important role in the development and implementation of AEG’s Asia strategy and<br />

was a key member of the Executive Committee charged with general oversight and corporate governance<br />

of all AEG affairs worldwide.<br />

On April 21, 2013 Kevin Gilmore was voted to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Olympic<br />

Committee.<br />

Between 1999 and 2006, Kevin Gilmore served as the Los Angeles Kings’ Vice President of Hockey<br />

Operations while still fulfilling his duties as Governor and General Manager of the Manchester Monarchs<br />

– the Kings’ American Hockey League affiliate team. Among his responsibilities he assisted the Club’s<br />

President and General Manager in all aspects of the club’s hockey operations, including player personnel<br />

evaluations and decisions, five-year financial planning and player forecasts as well as professional and<br />

amateur scouting. With his legal background and extensive knowledge of the financial structures in<br />

sports, he prepared and negotiated all player contracts as well as all player salary arbitration matters.<br />

As Team Governor and General Manager of the Manchester Monarchs, a position he held<br />

simultaneously while with the Kings, he elaborated a player development strategy for the L.A. Kings<br />

with a goal of fully owning and controlling its minor league affiliate and negotiated the acquisition of<br />

the franchise in Manchester. Under his tenure, the team qualified for the playoffs in every season since<br />

inception and led the AHL in attendance in 2002-03 and 2003-04.<br />

In 1998, after serving in various capacities for Anaheim Sports, Inc., Kevin Gilmore founded<br />

Professional Sports Advisors Group. He presided and operated the sports consulting firm with clients<br />

involved in three of the four major professional sports leagues in North America (NHL, MLB and NFL).<br />

From 1993 to 1998, he was Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Anaheim Sports, Inc., owners of<br />

the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Anaheim Angels baseball club. He was responsible for all legal<br />

aspects of the operations of the NHL and MLB teams, as well as the Anaheim Stadium and all legal<br />

matters relating to the operations, including licensing matters, advertising and broadcasting rights.<br />

He assisted the General Managers for both the hockey club and the baseball club in player personnel<br />

evaluations and decisions and in the negotiations of all player contracts. He was also entrusted with<br />

additional responsibilities with the team operations, sales and marketing and stadium operations.<br />

Before joining The Walt Disney Company in 1991, Kevin Gilmore was an associate with Latham<br />

& Watkins law firm in Los Angeles. He launched his law career with Martineau Walker, attorneys, in<br />

Montreal.<br />

A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Gilmore began his career at the Martineau Walker law firm in<br />

Montreal, before going on to practice law for three years as an associate with the Latham & Watkins firm.<br />

A native of Arvida, Quebec, Kevin Gilmore graduated Summa Cum Lauden, completing his Bachelor<br />

of Law (LL.B.) from the University of Ottawa in 1987 after receiving a License in Civil Laws in 1986.<br />

In 2007, he earned a Certificate of Completion, Finance for Executives from the University of Chicago<br />

Graduate School of Business. .<br />
