France Margaret Bélanger entreprend sa première saison au sein de l’organisation
des Canadiens de Montréal après avoir été nommé vice-présidente principale et chef
des affaires juridiques le 1er août dernier. Avant de se joindre au Club de hockey
Canadien, elle faisait partie du cabinet Stikeman Elliott à titre d’associée depuis 2003
et, de 1995 à 2002, comme sociétaire. Spécialisée dans les fusions et acquisitions, elle a dirigé l’équipe de Stikeman
Elliott représentant le groupe Gillett dans le processus de vente des Canadiens de Montréal et du Centre Bell. Elle a aussi
représenté la famille Saputo pour l’entrée de l’Impact de Montréal dans la MLS. Me Bélanger a également développé une
expertise dans le domaine de l’aviation représentant, entre autres, les intérêts de ACE Aviation, Air Canada et ACTS. Me
Bélanger a maintes fois été reconnue pour son expertise, recevant des mentions de The Best Lawyer in Canada 2013
et The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory 2013, 2012 & 2011 comme meilleure avocate dans les secteurs corporatifs
et fusions et acquisitions ainsi que la mention One of Canada’s 40 Rising Stars : Leading Laywer Under 40. Admise
au Barreau du Québec en novembre 1995. France Margaret Bélanger a effectué ses études à la Faculté de droit de
l’Université d’Ottawa où elle a été promue avec la plus haute mention (Cum Laude). Elle complète présentement une
maitrise en administration des affaires (MBA) dans le cadre du programme EMBA McGill - HEC Montréal..
France Margaret Bélanger is entering her first season with the Montreal Canadiens organization after being
appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer on August 1, 2013. Before joining the Club de hockey Canadien,
she was as a partner since 2003 and an associate from 1995 until 2002 with the law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP.
Specializing in mergers and acquisitions, she led the Stikeman Elliott team that acted for the Gillett group in connection
with the auction process for the sale of the Montreal Canadiens and the Bell Centre. She also represented the Saputo
family in its acquisition of a Major League Soccer franchise. She also developed an expertise in the aviation industry,
representing ACE Aviation, Air Canada and ACTS in several transactions. Mrs Bélanger received ample professional
acknowledgements. She was, among others, recognized by The Best Lawyer in Canada 2013, and by The Canadian
Legal Lexpert Directory 2013, 2012 and 2011 as a leading practitioner in the corporate commercial and M&A sectors.
She was also recognized as One of Canada’s 40 Rising Stars: Leading Lawyer Under 40. Admitted to the Quebec Bar
in November 1995, France Margaret Bélanger is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Ottawa, Law Faculty, Civil
Law and B.C.L. in 1994. She is presently completing a Master in Business Administration in the EMBA McGill – HEC
Montreal program..

Réjean Houle a été président des Anciens Canadiens de 1983 à 1995 et a
repris ce rôle en 2000. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, il supervise et coordonne
les activités de tous les membres de l’Association. Né le 25 octobre 1949 à
Rouyn, il est arrivé à Montréal à l’âge de 17 ans pour participer au camp des
Canadiens junior avec qui il a remporté la coupe Memorial à titre de capitaine
de l’équipe en 1968-1969. Au cours d’une carrière de 14 saisons au hockey professionnel, il a gravé son
nom sur la coupe Stanley à cinq occasions dans l’uniforme des Canadiens. Au terme de sa carrière active,
il s’est joint à la Brasserie Molson où il a passé 12 années au sein de la direction. Le 21 octobre 1995, il
était nommé directeur général du Club de hockey Canadien, poste qu’il a occupé jusqu’en novembre 2000..
Réjean Houle was President of the Canadiens Alumni from 1983 to 1995 before returning to this role in 2000.
In his duties, he oversees the activities of all members of the Association. Born in Rouyn on October 25, 1949,
he came to Montreal at age 17 to participate in his first training camp with the Junior Canadiens leading
the team to the Memorial Cup championship as team captain in 1968-1969. During a highly successful
14-year career in professional hockey, he etched his name on the Stanley Cup five times as a member of
the Montreal Canadiens. Following his playing career, he joined the Molson Brewery in Montreal where he
would spend 12 years as a member of the management team. On October 21, 1995, Réjean Houle was
named General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, a position he held until November 2000..
