FRED STEER
Fred Steer amorce sa 32 e année avec l’organisation des Canadiens de
Montréal. En tant que vice-président exécutif et chef de la direction financière,
il est responsable de tous les aspects financiers, ainsi que des ressources
humaines pour le Club de hockey Canadien inc. et le Centre Bell. Fred s’est
joint à l’organisation des Canadiens en 1982 au poste de vice-président, Finances. Il est gouverneur
substitut auprès de la Ligue nationale de hockey, et administrateur de la « NHL Pension Society ». Fred
est originaire de Montréal. Il possède un baccalauréat en commerce de l’Université McGill, et détient le
titre de comptable agréé (CA) depuis 1974..
The 2013-14 season marks Fred Steer’s 32 nd year with the Montreal Canadiens organization. As
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all financial matters as well as
human resources for the Club de Hockey Canadien Inc. and the Bell Centre. He joined the organization in
1982 as Vice President Finance and serves as an Alternate Governor of the National Hockey League and a
Director of the NHL Pension Society. Fred is a native Montrealer who attended McGill University, graduating
with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and received his designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1974..

ALAIN GAUTHIER
Alain Gauthier s’est joint à l’organisation des Canadiens en 1987 à titre de
directeur adjoint à l’exploitation. Il a été nommé vice-président exploitation du
Centre Bell en 2000 et directeur général, gestion des immeubles, en 2011. Il est également responsable de
l’exploitation du Complexe sportif Bell, site d’entraînement des Canadiens à Brossard. Il verra également
à la gestion du nouvel amphithéâtre de 10 000 sièges qui sera construit à Laval et qui portera le nom
de Place Bell. Il collabore actuellement avec les responsables de la ville de Laval à la création du plan
fonctionnel et le suivi des travaux de construction. Les secteurs d’activités sous sa responsabilité
comptent plus de 800 employés. Alain Gauthier a été un artisan de premier plan lors de la construction
du Centre Bell ainsi que du Complexe sportif Bell. Enfin, il siège actuellement au sein de divers conseils
d’administration. Membre de l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Alain Gauthier est titulaire d’un diplôme
de l’école Polytechnique de Montréal..
Alain Gauthier joined the Canadiens in 1987 as Director of Operations. He was named Vice President,
Operations, Bell Centre, in 2000 and General Manager of the facilities in 2011. He is also responsible of
the building operations at the Bell Sports Complex, the Canadiens’ practice rink in Brossard. He will soon
assume the responsibility of all building-related operations at the new 10,000-seat venue to be known as
Place Bell that will be built in Laval. Alain Gauthier currently works closely with the Laval management
team on the functional plans and follows up on the progress in the construction. Gauthier supervises
several departments totaling in excess of 800 employees. He was a key player in the construction of the
Bell Centre in 1996, and the Bell Sports Complex. Alain Gauthier sits on several boards of directors and
is a member of the Order of Engineers of Québec and a graduate from École Polytechnique de Montréal..
