Gidelj Albahari, son of Šabetaj, born in 1908 in Tešanj, the Jew, murdered by the<br />

Ustashe in 1943 in the concentration camp – Jasenovac. 203<br />

Jozef<br />

In the wanted circular issued by the Velika Župa Usora and Soli, No. 13.517/42 as of<br />

October 8, 1942 was stated that: Jozef Albahari son of the late Saraf, unmarried, at the age of<br />

37, the Jew, the salesman from Tešanj - Personal description: medium height, face-reddish,<br />

the front golden teeth, blond hair, no beard and no moustache, personality description –<br />

unknown, dressed in a blue civil suit, bare-headed, low black shoes. He disappeared on<br />

September 23, 1942 when the Jews were grouped because of moving to the concentration<br />

camp; therefore it was determined that he was in the forest called Crni Vrh with the<br />

Chetniks. 204<br />

On the Junior Sergeants list for the West Bosnia, made by the Commander of the<br />

respective Headquarters of the Supreme Command in the position of Yugoslav Army,<br />

Confidential No. as of April 24, 1944, 25 junior sergeants were suggested for promotion into<br />

the rank of Sergeant and Jozef S. Albahari, reserve junior sergeant, was among the proposed<br />

ones. He joined the units on April 21, 1942. He was proposed for promotion into the rank of<br />

the reserve sergeant – infantry because of his brave attitude in combat against the enemies. 205<br />

<strong>Jakov</strong><br />

In the Report of the District Department in Prnjavor, No. 89/41 as of May 2, 1941,<br />

addressed to the Ustashe Headquarters for Bosnian Croatia in Banjaluka, was stated that for<br />

the trustee of the Jewish trade shop in Hrvaćani, owned by Albahari <strong>Jakov</strong>, the Department<br />

appointed Mužnjak Petar, the farm labourer from Devetina, who worked in the shops for a<br />

while, and was reliable and reasonable man. He was warned to perform his duty in<br />

responsible way. 206<br />
