Šimon (Černovice, Romania, 1883 – ? )<br />

- Construction engineer, the Romanian Jew, married to Mina Erlich, with whom he had<br />

got sons Evald (four years old) and Freda (14 months)<br />

On March 17, 1921, he submitted the Request for Passport at the County Office in<br />

Banjaluka because of his medical treatment in Vienna; he stated that "he is an engineer,<br />

employed in the Construction Section, tall, round face, black hair and eyes, brown moustache<br />

and regular nose and mouth features". He travels with his wife and children. The Request was<br />

approved. 666<br />

Mino (Černovice, Romania, 1889 – ? )<br />

On March 17, 1921, she submitted the Request for Passport at the County Office in<br />

Banjaluka because of a medical treatment in Vienna; she stated that "she is a housewife,<br />

height – medium, round face, black hair and eyes, regular mouth and nose features". She<br />

travels with her husband and children. The Request was approved. 667<br />

Rena<br />

- The Jewess from Prijedor, escaped into the woods (the Partisans). The Germans<br />

arrested her together with Šandor Erlich on July 6, 1942 nearby Palančište, District<br />

Prijedor. 668<br />

According to the Record of the District Prijedor as of August 6, 1941, the shop of<br />

consumer goods owned by Šandor Erlih (Stern i sinovi – engl. Stern and sons) was sealed<br />

off. 669<br />

The Jew from Prijedor, escaped in the woods (the Partisans). The German Army<br />

arrested him together with Rena Erlich on July 6, 1942 nearby Palančište, District Prijedor. 670<br />

The Security Police for the City of Banjaluka and the Velika Župa Sana and Luka<br />

(Secret Number 729 as of August 2, 1942) reported the Head of the Prison Crna kuća engl.<br />

the Black House in Banjaluka that the following Jews were sent to the concentration camp on<br />

August 7: David, Rena and Blanka Kabiljo, Šandor and Rena Erlich, Josip and Riv(f)ka Papo,<br />

Jakob Reich, Sabataj and Luna Levi, Oskar and Ilonka Štern and Malamed <strong>Jakov</strong>. These Jews<br />

were handed over by the German Army. 671<br />

Šandor Erlih, age - 32, registered in the list of families whose members ran away with<br />

the Partisans. The list No. 1.546/43 as of February 26, 1943 was made by the District Office –<br />

Prijedor and was sent to the Security Police in Banjaluka. Persons from the Municipalities<br />

such as Prijedor, Palančište and Ćela were included in the list. Šandor Erlih run away in the<br />

woods together with his wife and children. 672<br />

Leo (Donji Miholjac, 28.3.1930 – ?)<br />

- Son of Aleksandar Erlih, the salesman assistant from Prijedor.<br />

After he had finished the Primary School in Prijedor in the year of 1940/41, he<br />

enrolled at the Gymnasium in Prijedor – class Ic. He was withdrawn from the Gymnasium on<br />
