In the application for the issuance of foreign passport to travel to Austria for trade,<br />

which is on September 29 th 1920 submitted to the City District Office in Banja Luka, said that<br />

"the medium stature, oval face, brown hair, green eyes, ordinary mouth and nose features and<br />

wears a blond moustache". 1189<br />

He frequently travelled to Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany, Italy and France to<br />

carry out commercial activities. 1190<br />

As successors of Bernath Brückner, Max Schnitzler and Georg Kohn registered in<br />

1910 the Store in Manufacture, Textile and in Short Goods in King Alfonse St. 12. Based on<br />

the Decision of the Municipal Authority in Banja Luka number 2811/41 dated on June 25th<br />

1941, a Store temporarily stopped to work, on the basis of the Decision of the same body - on<br />

June 9 th 1942, was deleted from the Registry. 1191<br />

At the annual meeting of the Philatelist Association in Banja Luka, held on February<br />

Red Cross Banja Luka was appointed as examiner in the course for volunteer nurses, held on<br />

former Yugoslavia, the number 12/T-42, composed by the committee for the Velika Župa<br />

In the report of the deprivation of life or missing persons, which on October 9 th 1945<br />

in Banja Luka, filed Vera Kosanović from Banja Luka, was stated (column A) that the Kon<br />

Đuro, son of Leopold, 64 years old, Yugoslav Jew, a merchant, with residence in Banja Luka<br />

was killed by the Ustashe in 1942 – concentration camp Stara Gradiška. Sum which would the<br />

victim earn from 1941-19 45 according the applicant requests is 10,000, and by the City<br />

Commission of 12,000 dinars. 1197<br />

Since 1928 to 1933 she attended and finished the Roman Catholic Civic School for<br />

Girls Marija Pomoćnica in Banjaluka and resided at her parents in the Street Fra Grge<br />

On numerical identity card for religious converts of the Župa Office in Banjaluka was<br />

stated: Margita Kohn, born on June 28th 1917 in Banjaluka, Jewish religious affiliation,<br />

unmarried, the housewife, converted to the Catholicism in the Parish Catholic Church in<br />

Banjaluka on December 5th <strong>1941.</strong> 1199<br />

The Župa Police - area of Banja Luka, by the act VT No. 13/42 from June 28 th 1942,<br />

submitted to the NDH Government proxy- Minister <strong>Dr</strong> Oskar Turina the list of persons<br />

arrested from 22-23rd June 1942. Among the arrested was Margarita Kohn. 1200<br />
