- Son of dentist Žiga Dr Herzog and Alice, maiden Kronfeld, Jew, married with Vera
Fusch-Betlheim, housewife from Zagreb, with whom he got son Ivo.
Medical Faculty finished in Vienna on June 27th 1924 and got the title of the Doctor
of Medicine.
Married to Vera, maiden Fusch on August 23rd in1925 in Zagreb.
He volunteered on the Medical Clinic of King's University in Zagreb as assistantvolunteer
till June 3rd 1926, when by Ministerial Order is appointed for the Doctor's
Candidate in Foundation Clinic of the same University.
Advanced training (specialisation) started on May 15th 1926, in Internal Clinic in
Zagreb, where he worked until 1928.
For assistant-volunteer on Medical Faculty in Zagreb is appointed on April 4th 1931.
Reappointment in this title is repeated by rector of University in Zagreb 1934, 1937 and 1940.
Regulated exam for Assistant of Internal Medicine passed on University in Belgrade
on April 3th – 4th 1936.
The Request for Citizenship was approved in Zagreb, on February 13th 1931.
In Yugoslav Kingdom’s Army he had the rank of reserve officer.
Converted to the Catholicism on June 19th 1941. He got married Vera Fusch-
Betlheim, the daughter of Josip Dr Fusch and Ella, maiden Rosenfeld, in Zagreb on July 31st
1941. Wedding was in Catholic Church of St Jeronim.
Upon the order of the Ministry of Health NDH, Z.Number: 36.626-1941 from
September 4 th 1941, is appointed for the clerk under contract in the Institute for Control of
Endemic Syphilis in Banja Luka, with monthly salary of 5.000 Kuna. He is assigned in
School Policlinic in Derventa, for control of endemic syphilis. He began a duty in Derventa
on October 1st 1941. While he worked in Derventa, he lived in a common household with his
father Žiga Dr Herzog. He had to support his father since he was of a poor state of the health.
He took an oath of loyalty to NDH on November 16th 1942 on School Policlinic in
Derventa.
By decision of the Ministry of Health NDH from January 12th 1944 he is assigned on
temporary work in Municipal Hospital in Karlovac.
Contracted salary is increased on September 12th 1944 from7.000 to 16.500 Kunas. 963

Ivo (Zagreb, 24.7.1926 – ?)
- Son of Pavle Dr Herzog, Doctor and Vera Fusch-Betlheim, housewife from Zagreb.
Converted to Catholicism on June 19th 1941 in Zagreb.
In academic 1941/42 year he passed the fifth grade on Public Realna Gymnasium in
Derventa. Also, in Derventa lived and worked as dentist his grandfather Dr Žiga Herzog. 965
