- Son of dentist Žiga <strong>Dr</strong> Herzog and Alice, maiden Kronfeld, Jew, married with Vera<br />

Fusch-Betlheim, housewife from Zagreb, with whom he got son Ivo.<br />

Medical Faculty finished in Vienna on June 27th 1924 and got the title of the Doctor<br />

of Medicine.<br />

Married to Vera, maiden Fusch on August 23rd in1925 in Zagreb.<br />

He volunteered on the Medical Clinic of King's University in Zagreb as assistantvolunteer<br />

till June 3rd 1926, when by Ministerial Order is appointed for the Doctor's<br />

Candidate in Foundation Clinic of the same University.<br />

Advanced training (specialisation) started on May 15th 1926, in Internal Clinic in<br />

Zagreb, where he worked until 1928.<br />

For assistant-volunteer on Medical Faculty in Zagreb is appointed on April 4th 1931.<br />

Reappointment in this title is repeated by rector of University in Zagreb 1934, 1937 and 1940.<br />

Regulated exam for Assistant of Internal Medicine passed on University in Belgrade<br />

on April 3th – 4th 1936.<br />

The Request for Citizenship was approved in Zagreb, on February 13th 1931.<br />

In Yugoslav Kingdom’s Army he had the rank of reserve officer.<br />

Converted to the Catholicism on June 19th <strong>1941.</strong> He got married Vera Fusch-<br />

Betlheim, the daughter of Josip <strong>Dr</strong> Fusch and Ella, maiden Rosenfeld, in Zagreb on July 31st<br />

<strong>1941.</strong> Wedding was in Catholic Church of St Jeronim.<br />

Upon the order of the Ministry of Health NDH, Z.Number: 36.626-1941 from<br />

September 4 th 1941, is appointed for the clerk under contract in the Institute for Control of<br />

Endemic Syphilis in Banja Luka, with monthly salary of 5.000 Kuna. He is assigned in<br />

School Policlinic in Derventa, for control of endemic syphilis. He began a duty in Derventa<br />

on October 1st <strong>1941.</strong> While he worked in Derventa, he lived in a common household with his<br />

father Žiga <strong>Dr</strong> Herzog. He had to support his father since he was of a poor state of the health.<br />

He took an oath of loyalty to NDH on November 16th 1942 on School Policlinic in<br />

Derventa.<br />

By decision of the Ministry of Health NDH from January 12th 1944 he is assigned on<br />

temporary work in Municipal Hospital in Karlovac.<br />

Contracted salary is increased on September 12th 1944 from7.000 to 16.500 Kunas. 963<br />

- Daughter of Josip <strong>Dr</strong> Fusch and Ella, maiden Rozenfeld, household, the wife of Pavle<br />

<strong>Dr</strong> Herzog. 964<br />

Ivo (Zagreb, 24.7.1926 – ?)<br />

- Son of Pavle <strong>Dr</strong> Herzog, Doctor and Vera Fusch-Betlheim, housewife from Zagreb.<br />

Converted to Catholicism on June 19th 1941 in Zagreb.<br />

In academic 1941/42 year he passed the fifth grade on Public Realna Gymnasium in<br />

Derventa. Also, in Derventa lived and worked as dentist his grandfather <strong>Dr</strong> Žiga Herzog. 965<br />
