Aleksander <strong>Dr</strong> (Krems, Germany, 1875 –?)<br />

- married to Gizela maiden Deutsch. According to Mira Kesić’s saying, he was the first<br />

infectologist in Banjaluka, married to the Jewess with whom he had two daughters and<br />

one of them was Greta. 771<br />

Based on the Request for Passport Issuance for medical needs, he filed at the City<br />

District Office in Banjaluka on December 20, 1919; he alleged that he is a senior doctor,<br />

average figure, long face, blue eyes and blond hair, regular features (nose and mouth). 772<br />

At the session of the City Council as of March 1922, his Citizenship Request was<br />

approved. 773<br />

He was retired on February 2, 1920 as a senior doctor. 774 He had his private practice<br />

that was relocated in 1934 in Fra Grge Martića Street No. 12. 775<br />

Together with Jak Konforti, was elected in the Disciplinary Council of the Doctors<br />

Chamber in the Vrbas Banovina.<br />

As a retired doctor he resided in Frankopanska Street No. 22a up to July 28. 776<br />

In the Request for Passport filed on December 22, 1919 to the City District Office<br />

Banjaluka due to her travel to Vienna and medical care, she stated that she is the Jewess, wife<br />

of senior doctor from Banjaluka, tall, long face, brown hair and eyes, average features of<br />

mouth and nose. 777<br />

In 1936, she invested money in the construction of the house - ground floor and the<br />

first floor - (10, 14 x 15, 32 m) in her property in Frankopanska Street between the Croatian<br />

House and the property of Lazar Mutić. The firm Evgenije Bubik from Belgrade performed<br />

Project and Construction works. A business premise was in the ground floor.<br />

In November 1936, Stojan Borovica, an engineer and an architect from Banjaluka,<br />

made some changes in a skylight, girls’ rooms and a facade for the house as well as<br />

constructing the side building within her property in Frankopanska Street. 778<br />

She was asked to come at the institute for Hygiene for important information related to<br />

war schedule of the Volunteer Hospital at the First Reserve Hospital, on April 19, <strong>1941.</strong> 779<br />

The damage occurred on the buildings owned by <strong>Dr</strong>. Giza Friedmann occurred during<br />

the bombing of Banjaluka was evaluated in the Record made on May 23, 1941 at the<br />

Municipality – Technical Department in Banjaluka.<br />

At the buildings in Frankopanska Street No. 22, the roof and windows were broken.<br />

The doors and windows were pulled out and the mortar destroyed. Total damage was 1.200<br />

Dinars. 780<br />

Up to July 18, 1942 Gizela Friedmann, a housewife, possessed the house in the value<br />

of 230.000 kuna, resided in Frankopanska Street No. 22a. 781<br />
