sentenced on death on 5 th of September in 1941 in Glina.<br />

Levi Jude Mica, a tailer from Banja Luka, born in 1896, long-standing illegal<br />

worker, was collecting an aid for Spanish Republic, hiding communists in her apartment and<br />

was handing out the party material. She was discovered by the Ustashas, and in August of<br />

1941 she was taken to the concentration camp of Gospić, and then to Metajna on Pag, where<br />

she was murdered.<br />

Levi Todorosa Moric, a student of technique from Banja Luka, born in 1916,<br />

escaped to Split, where, at the beginning of 1943, he joined to Split partisan corps, and then<br />

on a duty of commissair of 3 rd batallion on 10 th Krajiška brigade and the commander of<br />

engineer batallion.<br />

Levi Saloma Hana, born in Banja Luka in 1902, escaped to Zone I, and then<br />

interned to Rab in 1943, and on the liberation of the same one she joined to NLA, as a<br />

background worker.<br />

Levi Tilda, nurse, born in Banja Luka in 1916. In NLM, from the beginning of the<br />

rebellion, she was working on the distribution of the medical material in the concentration<br />

camp of Stara Gradiška and the partisans of Kozarački detachment. She was discovered by the<br />

Ustashas and sentenced to death by firing squad in 1942, in Banja Luka.<br />

Levi Leona Zlata, married Ježić, born in 1919 in Banja Luka, by professsion – a<br />

teacher. In NLM she joined in 1943, working as a tutor in partisan's children's home. After the<br />

air bombing of partisan's positions by the Germans she lost both of her legs, and, as a heavy<br />

invalid, she was transfered to Italy on medical treatment.<br />

Nahmijas <strong>Danon</strong>a Erna, a housewife from Banja Luka, born in 1894 in Doboj,<br />

escaped to Zone I, Split, where , at the beginning of 1942, she joined to the illegal residents,<br />

working on the jobs of making of the clothes for the partisans, as a background worker. Not<br />

long after she left to Italy.<br />

Nahmias Samuela <strong>Dr</strong>. Rafael, born in Banja Luka in 1898. On the coming of ISC,<br />

he was directed to Travnik, where, as a doctor, a specialist of epidemiology, worked in the<br />

tems for stamping of endememic syphilis. At the end of 1943 he joined to NLM. He was<br />

doing the duty of manager of partisan hospitals in Travnik and Bugojno.<br />

Nahmias Jozefa Samuel-Puba, a son, born in 1900 in Banja Luka. On the<br />

occupation he escaped to Dalmatia, and then the Italians interned him to the concentration<br />

camp of Rab. On the liberation of the concentration camp in 1943 he joined to NLM. He was<br />

working in the background units on the liberated Banija.<br />

Papo <strong>Jakov</strong>, craftsman from Banja Luka, joined to the illegal movement after the<br />

capitulization of Yugoslavia in <strong>1941.</strong> He was discovered, tortured and then sentenced on<br />

death by firing squad in 1941 by the Ustasha's mob of soldiers.<br />

Poljokan Braco <strong>Dr</strong>. Isak a Jewish national worker from Banja Luka. In 1941 he<br />

escaped to Split and joined to the partisans. He got killed as a fighter during the landing on<br />

<strong>Dr</strong>var.<br />

Poljokan Albert, born in Banja Luka in 1920, studied in Sarajevo, where he also<br />

joined to the partisan's units of eastern Bosnian brigade. He got killed in 1942 in the fight at<br />

Olovo.<br />

Poljokan Salamona Leon, an engineer of chemistry, born in Banja Luka in 1901,<br />

joined to NLM in 1944 as a member of NOO and ZAVNOBIH.<br />

Rozencvajg M. Zlata, a housewife from Banja Luka, born in 1900. She, together<br />

with her brother Rozencvajg M <strong>Dr</strong>. Erih and his wife Frida from Zagreb, was directed to the<br />

structure of the team for the stamping of endemic syphilis. She joined to NLM in 1944 as a<br />

nurse in the surgery department of Hospital Center in Banja Luka.<br />

Romano Menahema Majer, born in 1913 in Banja Luka, a geometer from Sarajevo.<br />

On the breakdown of Yugoslavia he was taken as a reserve officer to PWO camp, in<br />

Germany. In the concentration camp in Osnebruk he actively joined to the party work.<br />
