Szymon 871 <strong>Dr</strong> (Krystynopol, Galicia, 14.2.1897 – ?)<br />

- Son of Moses Grüner, veterinary from Lavov and Sara Schindel Juss from Lavov,<br />

Jew, physician bacteriologist, unmarried.<br />

In Donja Tuzla completed six grades of the Velika Gymnasium from 1908–1914.<br />

Education continued in the Velika Gymnasium in Vinkovci, where he completed 1914–16<br />

seventh and eighth grades and passed secondary school final examination.<br />

Domiciled in Tuzla from December 22nd 1921.<br />

The Faculty of Medical Science finished in Vienna on July 7th 1923 and got the title<br />

of the Doctor of Medical Sciences.<br />

By Decision of the Ministry of Health NDH, Z.Number: 29.730-1941 from August 9th<br />

1941 as former health inspector of IV group, 2nd degree at The Hygiene Institute Sarajevo, is<br />

sent to work in the Institute for Control of Endemic Syphilis in Banja Luka, with monthly<br />

salary of 3.000 kunas (Croatian monetary unit), and as an contracted clerk is assigned to work<br />

in the Outpatient Department for Control of Endemic Syphilis. He stayed on this position<br />

until September 1943, when, according the report of the Institute he disappeared. 872<br />

He took an oath to NDH on November 14th 1942 in the Health Centre in Tuzla.<br />

Teodor <strong>Dr</strong> (Nytra, Slovakia, 4.3.1913 – ?)<br />

- The son of Bernat Grüner and Janka, maiden name, Isakov, Jew, married Matilda,<br />

maiden name Berger, with whom he got the son Eliš and the daughter Juta.<br />

The Faculty of Medical Sciences finished in Zagreb on February 28th 1937 and got the<br />

title of the Physician.<br />

As a volunteer of the Children Clinic of Medical Faculty in Zagreb he worked two<br />

times – from March 1st 1938 to February 1st 1939 and from November 1st to June 14th <strong>1941.</strong><br />

Training period (on –the –job) finished in the period from March 1st 1937 to February<br />

28th 1938.<br />

He got married in Zagreb on July16th 1941 in the Jewish Community with Matilda,<br />

maiden name Berger.<br />

Upon request of Imbre Berger, the father in law of Teodor dr Grüner, Ministry of<br />

Interior NDH issued the permit, Number: 39.871-1941 from September 19th 1941, which<br />

allowed, until further provisions , to public representatives of NDH undisturbed residence on<br />

the territory NDH and occupation with private business limited by existing legislation:<br />

- Imbre Berger, born on February 22nd 1878 in Pustara, Gardoš, Jewish religious<br />

affiliation, as well to his family members: to his legal wife Greta, maiden name,<br />

Neumann, born on November 16th 1893 in Zagreb, his descendent Milan Berger, born<br />

on April 19th 1920 in Zagreb, and Tilda Berger, born on November 22nd 1921 in<br />

Zagreb,<br />

- To Miša Berger, born on June 1st 1886 in Kutina, Stella Berger, maiden name,<br />

Moskovitz, born on December 26th 1896 in Osijek and Milivoje Berger, born on<br />

September 16th 1929 in Zagreb,<br />

- Margita Berger, born Szilagy, born on October 26th 1898. and<br />

- Teodor dr Grüner.<br />

At the same time they are released of wearing of obligatory Jewish sign.<br />

By decision of Ministry of Health NDH, Z.Number : 22.603-1941 from July 17th 1941<br />

was sent from Zagreb as a physician in the Institute for Control of Endemic Syphilis in Banja<br />

Luka, with monthly salary of 4.000 kunas, and assigned to work in the Outpatient Department<br />

for Control of Endemic Syphilis in Bugojno. He started to work on this duty on August 1st<br />

<strong>1941.</strong><br />
