Ignatz Dr. (Vienna, 1.4.1891 – ?)
- Son of Simon Prochnik and Hana maiden Messing, the Jew, the Venereologist,
married to Marta maiden Goldschmidt. They had a son Hans.
He got a title of the Doctor of Medical Science at the University in Vienna on March
21, 1920.
He got married to Marta, maiden Goldschmidt, in Vienna on August 22, 1923.
Pursuant to the Decision of the Ministry of Health in the Independent State of Croatia
(NDH), No: 36.273-1941 as of September 4, 1941 he was sent to work in the Institute for
Endemic Syphilis Control in Banjaluka; he was paid 4.000 kunas per month and he was
assigned to the Outpatient Department of Endemic Syphilis Control in Brestovsko. He began
his duty on September 4, 1941.
He took an oath of loyalty to the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) on November
23, 1942 in District area of Fojnica.
He began to work in the Outpatient Department in Busovača where he formed the
Temporary Hospital for Infectious Diseases in accordance with the Decision by the Head of
the Health Centre, Travnik as of July 10, 1943.
According to the Decision of the Ministry of Health in the Independent State of
Croatia (NDH), Z. No: 33.613-1941 as of September 12, 1944, his monthly payment was
increased from 7.000 kunas to 14.000 kunas. 2173
