On April 17, 1926 the Association Poljokan Isak & Söhne became a private firm<br />

owned by Salomon I. Poljokan. As of October 28, 1933 apart from consumer goods trade, the<br />

firm started with the textile trade business – whole sail and retail sale. On August 2, 1938 the<br />

firm status was changed again and it was registered as the Association with the same name. 2071<br />

He was a prominent tradesman and citizen, president of the Sephardic Jewish<br />

Religious Community in Banjaluka and he was a city councillor as of 1932. 2072 Together with<br />

the members of other religious communities he was in return visit to the Ban Svetislav<br />

Milosavljević. 2073<br />

On the basis of the Statements taken from two witnesses, the Registry Office in<br />

Banjaluka issued the Birth Certificate to Isak Poljokan for his father Salomon in January<br />

1950. 2074<br />

Erna maiden Poljokan (Banjaluka, 15.10.1884 – ?)<br />

- Daughter of Rafael Poljokan and mother Sara connubial Izrael, married to Salomon<br />

Poljokan, son of Isak and Mazalta maiden Baruh. She got married in the Jewish<br />

Temple on September 30, 1900. 2075<br />

The Police Administration in Banjaluka informed the Ban’s Legal Department in<br />

Banjaluka that the passport was issued to Erna Poljokan from Banjaluka, wife of the<br />

tradesman for the trip to Czechoslovakia, Germany, Italy and Austria because of medical<br />

treatment on February 2, 1931. 2076<br />

On December 31, 1949 based upon the statements of two witnesses, the Registry<br />

Office in Banjaluka issued the Marriage Certificate to Erna Poljokan. 2077<br />

- Daughter of Salomon I. Poljokan and Erna maiden Poljokan.<br />

On December 1, 1935 she got married to <strong>Dr</strong> Jaša Albala, son of Regina and Biti<br />

Albala from Belgrade to the Bet Israel Synagogue in Belgrade. 2078<br />

On December 31, 1949 based upon the statements of two witnesses, the Registry<br />

Office in Banjaluka issued the Marriage Certificate to Erna Poljokan. 2079<br />

- Son of Salomon Poljokan, the Tradesman from Banjaluka (Kraljeva Road No. 16),<br />

and Erna maiden Poljokan, the Jew. 2080<br />

In 1921, he finished the First Public Primary School for Boys in Banjaluka. 2081<br />

On August 2, 1938 he registered the Stock Company for Textiles and Haberdashery<br />

Trade Isak Poljokan i sinovi (English. Isak Poljokan and Sons) located in Bulevar Kralja<br />

Aleksandra Street No. 58. Public member and the owners of the Company were Izak and<br />

Rafael, sons of Salomon Poljokan. 2082 On December 31, 1942 the shop was deleted from the<br />
