coast. things have. been rough here of course finding support actually
there were some. agriculture before not much not a single tree mostly
just fishing. reindeer. come out to the coast in summer only.. and stories
from the sea lot of people getting lost out there the weather is. very
unpredictable and can turn nasty fast. eye wetting stories of that.. this
have never been a sami area they tell me they are centered more inland.
with reindeer business and sami is not spoken here just norwegian and
some. russian i hear younger gals coming from poor Murmansk area via
Kirkenes. seeking a better life my former landlord (later I found out he
actually. didn't own the house hahah usual crapulence of the decline)
an old drunkard. married like that etc. Drinking is a problem as you
could guess unemployment. rate the school is downsized pessimism.
The people are jovial and is known. for offensivestrong language like
mainnsjit (manshit) used in every other. sentence like shit. It's a very
quiet area tourists in summertime going to. north cape also visiting the
lighthouse.. the sami has their own lore of course with the usual shaman
noaide and his. drum being a finnishugrish people. the reputation of the
sami as a people. practising witchcraft is widespread and the stories of
people having psychic. abilities and connection to the sami people..
they would have stories for film here yes maybe that would be their
new. resource when fishing fails.. selling their mainnsjitty souls...
slipsoil. would love to hear anything more about the troll witch.
woman.. have you ever thought of doing a collection. of local lore or
some kind of series about it.. I would definitely like to hear more about
this kind of stuff.. A movie about Gisken the troll witch woman sounds
fantastic. I can dream anyway. I would love to be the Kurasawa of
world. folktale cinema. They make such crap in the movies nowadays.
everyone knows. The lore is where its at for authenticity.. there some
plans making windmill parks in the area kali sculpture. sounds more.
interesting than bluewindmillpapas the nine moulds grinding. machine
kali. land art would certainly be a cult attraction in this wasteland.
integrating. with sami lore maybe. myth the gygr troll witch woman
Gisken lived at. Steinvåg. here (i'll upload some more pics hopefully
soon) and from Snorre's. king'. sagaes the queen Gunhild of king Eirik
Bloodax learing witchcraft. her. stuff like that with color history place
being a mix of norwegian. sami. russian finnish origins. a nature
reserve for aggressive birds now. diving at. you.. ad undas is just
paperwork. art grants yes it would be possible but. i'm a. mess and to
impatient for things to become real i would need someone. else to. take
