I. Objectives:<br />

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use should/ shouldn’t for advice and will/ won’t for future<br />

activities.<br />

Hoạt động 1: Warm-up (5 minutes)<br />

Chơi trò chơi ‘Brainstorming race’<br />

• GV chia lớp thành 2 đội, mỗi đội sử dụng 1 màu phấn khác nhau.<br />

• Thành viên mỗi đội lần lượt di chuyển nh<strong>anh</strong> lên bảng và ghi đáp án vào 2 cột GV đã viết trên bảng.<br />

• Đội nào có nhiều đáp án đúng sẽ thắng cuộc.<br />

Lời dẫn:<br />

– How are you today? Are you ready to begin the lesson with a game?<br />

– Let’s play ‘Brainstorming race’.<br />

– Team A uses blue chalk and team B uses yellow chalk. Take turns to write as many answers as possible<br />

into the 2 columns on the board.<br />

– Imagine you want your friend to listen to the teacher. What do you say?<br />

– What do you say if you want your friend not to talk loudly?<br />

Hoạt động 2: Structure with ‘should/ shouldn’t’<br />

(15 - 17 minutes)<br />

a. Elicit the model sentences<br />

– Well, look at this picture.<br />

– What is Nam wearing? (a raincoat)<br />

– Why? (because it’s raining)<br />

– What does his mother say to him? (Nam, you<br />

shouldn’t wet the floor. You should take your<br />

raincoat off first)<br />

– What do ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’ mean?<br />

– Does his mother say ‘should take off’ or ‘should to take off’?<br />

– When do you use ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’? (to give advice)<br />

– What is the difference between ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’?<br />
