โลก “ร้าน Le Louis XV โดยอะแล็ง ดูกาสส์ อาจเป็นร้านที่ดีที่สุด
แต่ถ้าถามผม ผมจะแนะนำาร้าน La Montgolfière ซึ่งเป็นร้านอาหาร
20 ที่นั่งที่ตั้งอยู่บนโขดหินเก่า ห่างจาก Prince’s Palace เพียง 100
เมตร ที่นี่เองที่คุณจะได้ชิมอาหารโมนาโกแท้ๆ โดยเชฟชาวท้องถิ่นที่
ฝีมือดีที่สุด ทุกอย่างลงตัวอย่างสมบูรณ์แบบ”
เริงราตรี
ทำาเลที่อยู่ใกล้กับฝรั่งเศสและอิตาลีทำาให้โมนาโกกลายเป็นจุดแวะพัก
ที่เหมาะเจาะ นั่นหมายความว่านักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่มักจะเห็นโมนาโก
ในช่วงกลางวันเท่านั้น ทั้งๆที่แสงสียามราตรีของที่นี่นั้นอลังการไม่แพ้

“ไนท์ไลฟ์เป็นสิ่งสำาคัญมากครับสำาหรับโมนาโก เพราะคนมักจะ
มาคาสิโนตอนเย็น ไนท์คลับที่ดีที่สุดในแถบริเวียร่าเลยมักจะอยู่ที่นี่
บรรยากาศจะไม่เหมือนกับแซ็งต์ โทรเปซที่อาจจะดูสบายๆ เนื่องจาก
มีความปลอดภัยสูง ที่นี่จึงเหมาะสำาหรับปาร์ตี้ เพราะคุณไม่ต้องระวัง
ตัวมาก คุณพกเงินได้ ใส่จิวเวลรี่ได้ เดินกลับโรงแรมได้ครับ”
นอกจากนี้ โมนาโกยังเป็นหนึ่งในไม่กี่ประเทศในโลกที่ตำารวจต้อง
ผ่านการคัดเลือกหน้าตาก่อน นั่นคือเหตุผลที่ว่าทำาไมเราจึงเห็นแต่เจ้า-
หน้าที่ตำารวจที่สูงยาวเข่าดีแถมเปี่ยมด้วยเสน่ห์มาประจำาการ แต่ก็น่า
เสียดายที่ประเทศนี้มีอัตราอาชญากรรมต่ำามาก คุณจึงอาจไม่ต้องการ
ความช่วยเหลือจากพวกเขาสักเท่าไหร่
สานต่อความฝัน
ภาพอันแสนหวือหวาของโมนาโกทำาให้คนหลงใหลได้เสมอ และ
ประเทศเล็กๆแห่งนี้ก็ไม่สนใจที่จะถอยหลังหรือเปลี่ยนทิศทางไปสู่การ
ท่องเที่ยวแบบประหยัดอย่างเช่นประเทศอื่นๆในยุโรป “หนึ่งในคำาขวัญ

When it comes time to eat, there is nowhere more exciting.
Monaco has the largest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants
in the world. “Le Louis XV by Alain Ducasse is the best restaurant
in Monaco, but as a personal tip, I would suggest Restaurant La
Montgolfière. It’s a place of twenty seats located on the old rocks
just about 100 meters from the Prince’s Palace. At this place you’ll
find true Monaco cuisine by the best chef in Monaco. Everything is
cooked exactly right.”
Nightlife
Monaco’s strategic location near France and Italy also makes
it a great stopover location. This means that most people only see
Monaco during the day, but at night the city transforms into a
different wonderland.
“Nightlife is very important for Monaco. It has been an evening
destination for casinos. Some of the best nightclubs in the Riviera are
here. We don’t have the atmosphere of St. Tropez because it’s a bit
more relaxed, however as it is a very safe place, it’s made to party. You
don’t need to beware, you can carry money, you can wear your jewels,
and you can walk to your hotel.”
Monaco is also one of the only countries in the world where the
police force goes through a casting process. Officers are all tall,
attractive, and must have a good disposition to work. Unfortunately
the low crime rate means you’ll rarely need them to rescue you.
Continuing the Dream
Monaco’s glitzy image has always enthralled people. The country
shows no signs of wanting to roll back or join other European
nations in appealing to low-cost travel. “One of our mottos was,
‘I have achieved something because I can go to Monte Carlo’.
You live well there and you are always treated well there. It is
pure luxury, and not at all intimidating,” says Guillaume, “luxury
isn’t about money, it is about being treated right. We always say,
everyone wants to dream, but even the poor don’t want to have
cheap dreams. This is why Monaco must always have the highest
standards.”
