Emily Ward
Rayner is uniquely placed to be able to guide her students,
having studied at Warrington & Vale Royal College herself.
Rayner progressed from Level 2 Hair & Media Make-up
onto the Professional Level 4 qualification in Advanced
Theatrical Media Make-up. Being a former student, Rayner
understands the needs of the learners and is keen for
them to succeed on the course, saying: “I absolutely love
teaching and I’m passionate about the industry. I strive to
create career paths for my students, ensuring they have the
support and help they need to complete their qualification
with confidence.”
Level 3 Theatrical and Media Make-up student Emily has
developed a wealth of new skills throughout her course, and
has now secured a part-time job in a salon, working as a
make-up artist. She has plans to continue her studies and
enhance her knowledge at Salford University studying Media
Make-up for Fashion. Emily has enjoyed gaining advanced
skills on the course, such as learning how to use an airbrush
gun and using special effects to create exciting looks. She
has completed a variety of work placements including
working for Warrington Parr Hall creating futuristic make-up
looks on models. Emily also showcased her skills in special
effects by creating realistic gruesome looks for Evans House
during Halloween.
