The college’s fantastic industry connections will allow you
to build up your experience, broaden your career prospects
and increase your chances of employment after college.
We have strong links with a variety of private day nurseries,
primary schools and childminders, both in the local area and
further afield.
Throughout your course, you will also have the opportunity
to meet a variety of guest speakers, who come into college
to share valuable insights into the different roles and career
prospects within the industry.
Alumni
If you wish to progress onto university after completing your
course, we can support you with your UCAS application and
provide expert advice on your options. Many of our students
have gone on to further study, attending universities such
as Liverpool John Moores, the University of Chester and the
University of Salford. There are a huge variety of courses
you could progress onto, from primary teaching to paediatric
nursing.
Trips and visits
As part of this course, you will be able to enhance your
knowledge with educational trips to unique places such as
the Slavery Museum, Eureka Museum and the Thackray
Medical Museum. Previous students have also participated
in exciting international visits to Prague, Disneyland Paris
and Poland.
Facilities
Our childcare classrooms aim to fully immerse you into
the early years sector. Your teaching and care skills will
be enhanced by access to high quality learning and
development equipment.
