VOCATIONAL COURSESVOCATIONALCOURSESThe college is passionate about offering a wide range of vocational coursesto suit all levels of ability, allowing accessible learning for all students.Vocational courses are a great way of gaining a qualificationif you prefer a practical, hands-on approach to learning.Vocational courses are offered at different levels starting from entry level to level 3. Pleasesee the minimum entry requirements on page 32 for each of these levels. We also offer awide selection of higher education courses starting at level 4 upwards.With a vocational course, you will be studying one main subject alongside Maths and/orEnglish GCSE if you don’t have a minimum grade 4s. This allows you to specialise in theone area that you’re interested in.Is a vocational course right for me?• Do you prefer practical learning where you have the opportunity to develophands-on skills?• Do you prefer to be continually assessed throughout the course via coursework,practical projects and examinations?• Do you want to gain a recognised qualification?• Do you want to develop skills employers are looking for, enabling you to progressstraight into employment, further and higher education or an apprenticeship?If the answer is yes to any of these, then a vocational course is right for you!52
