Level 1 Travel & Tourism
A one-year course involving modules such as the UK travel and
tourism industry, customer service, airports and airlines. You will
also complete an Exploring Aviation Certificate, which provides an
introduction to the aviation industry.
Level 2 Travel & Tourism
A one-year course covering a mixture of core and optional modules
including: the UK travel and tourism industry, customer service,
airports and airlines, work experience in the industry, event
organisation, and guided tours.
Level 3 Travel & Tourism
A two-year course covering a mixture of core and optional
modules including: destinations, tour operations, the cruise
industry, resort representatives, UK airports, and worldwide
passenger airlines.

This course will develop your customer service
skills and your understanding of the travel and
tourism industry, thereby preparing you to take
your first steps into the field. There is a huge
range of fantastic roles to choose from, from
cabin crew to hotel manager.

• With commission and bonuses, cabin crew
salary can vary between £20,000 and £28,000
• Cabin crew are highly skilled professionals with
a substantial knowledge of safety procedures,
first aid and legal/immigration issues
• In terms of employment, tourism is the fastest
growing sector in the UK. By 2025, Britain is
forecast to have a tourism industry worth £257bn.

Progression opportunities
Upon completion of the course, you may wish to continue your
education at university or alternatively, enrol onto our HNC in
Travel & Tourism.
Over the past few years, many of our students have acquired
jobs with some of the country’s leading travel companies. We
have students currently working for many airlines, including
TUI, Jet2.com, Ryanair, EasyJet and Virgin Atlantic. In
addition to this, many more students work as ground support
at airports, as flight dispatchers, and also in luxury hotels,
travel agencies and many more.
