WHY STUDY GAMES
DESIGN WITH US?
Industry links
As part of your course you will undertake valuable work
placements to develop your practical skills and industry
experience. Past students worked in collaboration with
Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Trust to create fun
and friendly underwater themed characters to be featured
within an in-house application currently in development.
Students were also given the opportunity to gain quality
assurance experience, testing unreleased titles for Sleepy
Brain Studios, with progression routes available to those
who excelled. Each student received a credited mention
and valuable CV experience.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in guest
lecture workshops with leading employers in order to gain
an insight into the industry. You will take on live briefs for
local community groups and employers; a great chance
to display your creative and technical skills. Additionally,
you will have the opportunity to participate in our annual
Creative Arts Exhibition, which allows you to showcase
your impressive creations.
Trips and visits
During your course you will be able to take part in exciting
trips to events such as the Arcade Club and Comic-Con
where you will hear from industry specialists, discover the
latest gaming technology developments and meet potential
future employers. You will also visit universities to help you
explore your future options.
