Level 3 vocational qualifications are equivalent to A Levels. Distinction* is equal to A* at A Level.
“Vocational qualifications are easier than A Levels.”
Vocational qualifications are not an ‘easy’ option, you will need to be just as organised and
committed. To secure a great work placement, students need to demonstrate their work ethic
and show a willingness to learn.
“I cannot apply to university with a vocational qualification.”
False! A quarter of university students studied a BTEC rather than A Levels and this route is
becoming increasingly popular.
