The college offers an extensive programme of guest
speakers and representatives from the Army, RAF, Navy,
Police, Fire Service and NHS to provide information and
support on recruitment, training, and assessment processes.
You will also hear from past students, some with over ten
years’ experience in their field of work, who will be happy to
share their advice to new recruits.
Alumni
Previous students have successfully progressed into
careers with the police, military and emergency services.
A high number of students go on to study at university with
students enrolling onto courses such as International Politics
and Paramedic Science.
Trips and visits
Trips and visits are an integral part of your study programme
and we arrange a large range of sporting and outdoor
pursuits to test your limits! Previous students have
visited Low Mill Outdoor Centre in the Yorkshire Dales
and completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award. We also
take students on educational trips to places such as The
Imperial War Museum, Whitegate Way and even to an
Army Reserves unit where students can take on challenges
similar to the Army selection process.
Facilities
You will be based in our newly refurbished, state-of-theart
Sport and Public Services Centre which houses our
modern classrooms. Here you will also be able to utilise
our specialist fitness suite which features a range of
cardiovascular and resistance equipment, a free weights
area, and strength and conditioning machines. You will
have open access to these facilities, allowing you to train
whenever you wish.
