Meet our students
Maria Clerkin
Art & Design Curriculum Manager Ben Brady has a wealth of
knowledge and experience in his field. Having completed a
Foundation Diploma in Art & Design at Mid Cheshire College
and a BA Honours in Fine Art at Liverpool Hope University,
Ben went on to study a PGCE in Further and Higher
Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. To expand
his knowledge further, Ben then completed a post-graduate
qualification in Fine Art at the University of Chester.
Ben also has a great deal of teaching experience, having
worked as an Associate Tutor in Fine Art at the University
of Chester.
Maria Clerkin is currently in her final year on our Level 3
Art & Design course. She has excelled on the course and,
during her first year, she was invited to exhibit her work at
Warrington Museum & Art Gallery, being the only first-year
student to ever be asked to do this alongside
final-year students. Maria credits her tutors for their support,
saying: “The tutors have been incredibly supportive of my
aspirations. This has meant I have grown as an artist and
have been pushed out of my comfort zone which has done
me the world of good.”
Maria has secured an ‘exceptional’ offer from the University
of Bolton to study Special Effects for Film and TV.
