Meet our students
Abbie Sanson
Bethany is our course leader for hairdressing, beauty
therapy and media make-up. She has a wealth of industry
experience, having worked and studied in beauty therapy
since leaving school. Bethany completed a BA Hons
in Salon Business Management at University College
Birmingham, before achieving a PGCE at Edge Hill
University and an MA in Educational Leadership and
Management from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Bethany is passionate about developing her students saying:
“I really enjoy teaching as it is so rewarding watching the
students grow and gaining some brilliant career opportunities.
It is amazing to teach something I enjoy so much.”
Abbie, a former student of Padgate Academy, has
impressed others so much on her course that she has
already secured a full-time job at Bride Be Lovely, a beauty
salon in Orford, Warrington.
Abbie has always felt well supported throughout her course,
describing her tutor as “understanding but firm and always
pushing us to achieve our best.”
Abbie credits her time at college for helping her gain the
necessary skills she needed to secure her job. She is
currently considering progressing onto the part-time Level 4
Salon Management course whilst working, and she dreams
of one day opening up her own business.
