MEDIA MAKE-UP - VOCATIONAL COURSES

MAKE-UP WITH US?
Industry links
You will have the opportunity to work on live briefs,
demonstrating your make-up artistry skills at a variety of
events from local shows to catwalks. We work closely
with local companies such as Lock Down Escape rooms
in Warrington and The Hayloft in Widnes, creating spooky
looks for their Halloween events. We also welcome guest
speakers from well-established hair and beauty suppliers
such as Paul Mitchell, Peggy Sage and Crown Brushes, as
well as apprentices who have progressed onto setting up
their own businesses.
Students will also complete a number of work placements,
working to client briefs and experiencing diverse working
environments.
Trips and visits
Students have the opportunity to attend notable trade shows
such as IMATs London and Professional Beauty North,
offering students the chance to meet experts in the industry
and be the first to learn about new and emerging products.
Facilities
The Academy is a fully-equipped commercial hair and
beauty salon where our students undergo their training. You
will be based in our new media make-up studio where you’ll
be able to practise your skills on real clients.
Alumni
Previous students go on to further study, enrolling onto
professional courses or university. Many have secured
exciting positions working in TV, film and editorial.
