WHERE IS IT? Located on Cape May’s beautiful
beachfront, between Perry and Jackson.
WHY SHOULD I GO? Because we really ARE
talking about the ultimate comfort food here!
Imagine succulet filet mignon served on a toasted
sandwich, with melted cheese (and lobster, if you
want to ratchet up the indulgence factor).
There’s always something reassuring about an
eatery that basically does one thing — because you
know it’s going to be really good. Such is the case at
Nick Filet, which opened on the beachfront in the
summer of 2019. It’s their third location — Nick Filet
originally launched in Paoli, Pennsylvania, and later
added another eatery in nearby Wayne.
The Cape May beachfront is a place where Nick
feels comfortable, having cut his teeth managing
Quincy’s Original Lobster Rolls, located a little
further down the road.
After coming up with his idea for the new
eatery, Nick made 10 sandwiches for three friends,
testing out different spices and recipes. “These three
girls, who were notoriously shy eaters, destroyed
these 10 sandwiches in about 10 minutes. They
couldn’t put them down,” says Nick. “I knew we were
on the verge of something pretty big.”
Sink your teeth into one of Nick’s sandwiches
and you will very likely feel the same way.
INSIDER TIP The Cape May location is open from
April every year, while the Nick Filets in Paoli and
Wayne are open daily year-round.
