<strong>PC3000</strong> - <strong>Installation</strong> Guide<br />

Logic Output Module<br />

This module is Version 3 and introdues a new style connector header and a change to<br />

the numbering of the Status Indicator Leds.<br />

Version 3 modules may be used in the old Version 2 or Version 1 rack together with<br />

the enclosed new connector header.<br />

Description<br />

Provides twelve channels of Logic output (open collector, npn). Outputs are grouped<br />

in group of four channels, each group having a separate common terminal.<br />

The logic outputs have reinforced insulation to the "System" and other modules.<br />

Reinforced insolation is NOT provided between the separate groups.<br />

Caution live connections<br />

Where one channel may be live, the installer must ensure that any other channel in<br />

the same module, is not accessible to service personnel while it is live. The installer<br />

must also ensure that this situation will not damage other connected equipment. All<br />

cables, connectors and switches for connecting external equipment to an I/O point<br />

that may be at live potential, must be mains rated.<br />

Cleaning<br />

Isopropyl alcohol may be used to clean the labels, do not use water or water based<br />

products or they will become illegible.<br />

A mild soap solution may be used to clean the exterior surfaces of this product.<br />

Module identification<br />

Module may be identified by means of a label visible through the top of the detachable<br />

fascia carrying the text LGC <strong>12</strong>.<br />

Additionally, a label fitted to the side of the module carries details of serial number<br />

etc. The module's product code is included and should read:<br />

<strong>PC3000</strong>/DO/VERSION3/LGC<strong>12</strong><br />
