Usage: For connecting a <strong>PC3000</strong> RS-232 Serial Port to a terminal block assembly as<br />
described above. For use with Intelligent Communications Module port D only.<br />
The cable is functionally identical to <strong>PC3000</strong>/CABLE/COMM232/261/3.0M<br />
Pin numbering, function and wire colours are as follows.<br />

Notes:<br />
(1) The screen is connected to the metal band around the outside of the 8 pin plug<br />
(2) The screen is connected directly to the Rack as a Safety and RFI Ground, via the<br />
module's front earth clip, in Version 3 ICMs.<br />
(3) The screen is connected to pin 1 on the 25 pin D connector. This is provided in<br />
order that screen continuity can be maintained if cables are extended.<br />
