DIVISION OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCES<br />

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE<br />

The Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics<br />

is designed for students interested in seeking a<br />

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from a four-year<br />

college or university, or for those seeking a structured<br />

exploration of mathematics for other reasons or<br />

degrees. This emphasis includes lower-division<br />

coursework that prepares students for a major in<br />

mathematics.<br />

By completion of specific General Education courses,<br />

this program fulfills the transfer requirements for<br />

Baccalaureate Mathematics majors but does not<br />

necessarily fulfill all transfer requirements for related<br />

majors.<br />

To acquire the Associate of Science Degree in<br />

Mathematics, it is necessary to complete the graduation<br />

requirements of the <strong>College</strong> along with the following<br />

courses:<br />

Students are advised to check with the Counseling<br />

Department for the courses accepted into their related<br />

majors at the four-year institutions where they seek<br />

transfer.<br />
