DIVISION OF MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCES
ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE
The Associate of Science Degree in Mathematics
is designed for students interested in seeking a
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from a four-year
college or university, or for those seeking a structured
exploration of mathematics for other reasons or
degrees. This emphasis includes lower-division
coursework that prepares students for a major in
mathematics.
By completion of specific General Education courses,
this program fulfills the transfer requirements for
Baccalaureate Mathematics majors but does not
necessarily fulfill all transfer requirements for related
majors.
To acquire the Associate of Science Degree in
Mathematics, it is necessary to complete the graduation
requirements of the College along with the following
courses:
Students are advised to check with the Counseling
Department for the courses accepted into their related
majors at the four-year institutions where they seek
transfer.
