DIVISION OF ARTS & CULTURAL PROGRAMS<br />

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE DEGREE<br />

The Associate of Science Degree provides students<br />

preparing to transfer with a thorough technical<br />

knowledge of contemporary photographic<br />

equipment and applications. Students also<br />

become familiar with basic filmmaking and<br />

videography techniques including digital<br />

image capture and scanning as well as use of<br />

conventional materials. Students interested in<br />

photography as visual expression will also benefit.<br />

Students planning to prepare for a four-year<br />

degree in Photography should consult the lower<br />

division requirements of the university to which<br />

they plan to transfer.<br />

To acquire the Associate of Science Degree in<br />

Photography, it is necessary to complete the<br />

graduation requirements of the <strong>College</strong> along<br />

with the following courses:<br />

Athletic Trainer’s Aide<br />

The Athletic Trainer’s Aide Certificate is designed<br />

to develop, practice and implement basic skills<br />

in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation<br />

of athletic injuries. These courses will set a<br />

foundation that will aid in the pursuit of a career<br />

in the sports medicine and health care industries.<br />

This program will better prepare students for<br />

transfer into an accredited athletic training<br />

education program at the four year university<br />

level or increase the breadth of education for<br />

those seeking a career in other allied healthcare<br />

fields. The student must attain a grade of “C” or<br />

higher in each course for completion.<br />
