This course offers students a fieldwork<br />
experience in a business related to<br />
their academic studies, allowing the<br />
student to apply knowledge from<br />
his or her coursework and to learn<br />
new skills outside of the classroom<br />
environment. A weekly meeting with<br />
the instructor and others enrolled in<br />
the seminar provides the academic<br />
element to this experiential course<br />
offering and reinforces the application<br />
of concepts gained the prerequisite<br />
course or courses. The seminar will<br />
focus on workplace ethics, time and<br />
stress management, resume writing,<br />
cultural diversity, and general<br />
preparation for employment. This<br />
course is intended for students who<br />
seek to explore work in a selected field.<br />

This course is offered during the<br />
final semester or upon completion of<br />
selected career and technical education<br />
programs and provides students<br />
with an internship experience in an<br />
appropriate business. The student<br />
will apply the theoretical concepts and<br />
skills gained through their coursework<br />
and will have an opportunity to<br />
develop skills that would facilitate<br />
gaining employment. The seminar<br />
will focus on workplace ethics, time<br />
and stress management, resume<br />
writing, cultural diversity, and general<br />
preparation for employment. This<br />
course is intended for students who<br />
have prepared for work in the field<br />
through the appropriate coursework<br />
and seek to apply their knowledge and<br />
again experience in that chosen field.<br />
If a paid internship, the student will<br />
meet performance objectives related to<br />
instruction that are above and beyond<br />
conditions of regular employment.<br />

programs. Relevant aspects of the<br />
