NURSING -LICENSED VOCATIONAL NURSE<br />

LVN to ADN (OPTION #1)<br />
The Associate Degree Nursing Program may be<br />
completed by the Licensed Vocational Nurse in one<br />
year. It is designed to prepare students for employment<br />
as a Registered Nurse, providing direct care to patients.<br />
Graduates receive an Associate of Science Degree in<br />
Nursing. The California State Board of Registered<br />
Nursing approves the program. Students who complete<br />
the curriculum are qualified to take the examination<br />
leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse.<br />

NON-DEGREE-30 UNIT OPTION<br />
(OPTION #2) 30 Unit Option LVN to RN<br />
This one-year program is for the applicant with a valid<br />
California Vocational Nurse license. The Vocational Nurse<br />
who completes thirty additional units beyond the LVN<br />
curriculum qualifies to take the licensing examination as a<br />
Registered Nurse. This option does not lead to an Associate<br />
Nursing Degree.<br />
HS 045 Math for Health Professionals (optional elective for 1 unit)<br />
The program is designed to prepare students for employment<br />
as a Registered Nurse, providing direct care to<br />
patients. The student should be aware that they may not<br />
–Offered Summer session only<br />
change their status as a 30 unit option RN with the Board<br />
