This course is a comprehensive course<br />

of the Microsoft Windows operating<br />

system and its graphical user interface.<br />

The student will learn: Graphical User<br />

Interface/Mouse, My Computer, File<br />

Management with Explorer, WordPad,<br />

Paint, and data sharing using the<br />

Clipboard. The Find program, object<br />

linking and embedding, printers and<br />

fonts will also be included. Networking<br />

capabilities of Windows will be used<br />

and disk maintenance tasks will be<br />

performed.<br />

use touch keyboarding to prepare reports<br />

This course is designed to improve<br />

students’ speed and accuracy on a<br />

computer keyboard by analyzing their<br />

keyboarding techniques and prescribing<br />

specific drills to increase their timed<br />

writing rate. It is taught as a lab or on-line.<br />

This course is recommended for all<br />

students who have learned the location of<br />

the keys on the keyboard and who now<br />

want to improve their speed and accuracy<br />

in preparation of reports and general<br />

course assignments. This course may be<br />

taken once and repeated two times for<br />
