Spring brings fresh changes
Welcome to a brand new season with Brussels Airlines. Spring has traditionally been a
season for change, renewal and also continuation. We’ve been working hard at Brussels
Airlines to bring you fresh and exciting developments. Perhaps you are reading this copy
of b.spirit in one of our brand-new A330 cabins. Or maybe you’re comfortably on your
way to New York, our newest long-haul destination.
The renewal of our entire long-haul fleet is an ongoing project throughout 2012. We aim to equip
all our A330s with the brand new cabin so that by end 2012, every passenger will be able to enjoy
this exclusive comfort.
We have already invested more than 10,000 man-hours into the first aircraft, which rolled out of
the hangar in late March. The aircraft was on the ground for one month while the new seats and innovative in-flight entertainment system were transported
from Ireland, Italy, the United States and Germany to our partner, Lufthansa Technik in Malta, which is installing our new cabins. As we are the first airline
to use this latest on-demand entertainment system, the installation process was closely followed by the European and American aviation authorities during an
hour-long flight test where the new technology was thoroughly inspected and approved.
In addition, this spring our long-haul fleet will grow from five to seven aircraft. As well as allowing us to offer daily return flights between Brussels and
New York, these two new aircraft will also allow us to increase our flight frequencies to seven African destinations this summer.
Please feel free to share your experience with our cabin crew, and I wish you a pleasant Brussels Airlines flight.
onze jongste langeafstandsbestemming, New York.
we ruim 10.000 werkuren geïnvesteerd.
