Health Facilities Providing Specific FP Methods to Clients
Tables 3.12.1 and 3.12.2 present the percentages of facilities offering any family
planning service that provide specific modern methods according to the type of facility and
managing authority and region.
Three-quarters of facilities offering any FP service provide at least two modern
temporary methods and only 1 percent perform tubal ligations or vasectomies.
Among health huts offering any FP service, only one in two actually provide the pill
(54 percent for the combined oral contraceptive pill and 50 percent for progestin oral pills
alone).
The regions of Ziguinchor, Sédhiou, Kolda, and Tambacounda are notable because
facilities in these regions that offer FP services are unable to provide most FP methods.
