Qashqa-daryÁ Arabic dialect consists of two or three consonants, and
rarely of one or four consonants:
Ó cf ÓÁ "he came", md cf mad "he went away", lhg cf lihig "he arrived at
a point", dstr cf dastær "consent".
The Unity of root-consonant constitutes a base on which this or that
grammatical form is built. Although, the number of root-consonants is not
fixed, along with the abundance of three-consonant roots in the dialect,
instances of their transformation into two-consonant roots are also found:
