Novos Olhares

Through the built up heritage, more specifically
the religious heritage, an important part of the
cultural heritage of the region of Coimbra is
composed. In this image, the Mother Church of
Condeixa-a-Nova, dedicated to Saint Cristina,
was built in the XVI century. Looted and burned
in 1811 by the French Invasions, it was rebuilt ten
years later changing its appearance to the present
neoclassical one, but still maintaining signs of the
original Manueline.
