Monumento Nacional, o Claustro da Manga
carrega em si um imenso valor patrimonial que,
construído na década de 30 do século XVI, como
obra renascentista, juntamente com o jardim
que o rodeia, é reconhecido como uma das mais
importantes Fontes da Vida da arquitectura
europeia, sendo inspirada pelas casas de fresco
renascentistas italianas. Os pormenores são muitos,
desde a cúpula que representa o universo ou o
firmamento; os 4 pequenos lagos que representam
os rios Gehon, Físon, Tigre e Eufrates e que
correm em direcção aos 4 pontos cardeais; e
os 4 corredores que dão acesso às torres e que
simbolizam a vida terrena.

A National Monument, the Manga Cloister carries
in itself an immense heritage value that, built in
the 1930s as a Renaissance work, together with
the garden that surrounds it, is recognised as
one of the most important Fountains of Life in
European architecture, being inspired by the Italian
Renaissance fresco houses. The details are many,
from the dome that represents the universe or the
firmament; the 4 small lakes that represent the
Gehon, Phyton, Tigris and Euphrates rivers and
that flow towards the 4 cardinal points; and the 4
corridors that give access to the towers and that
symbolise earthly life.
