Novos Olhares

The pottery, a very traditional art and custom
of the Coimbra Region, has in Tábua one of
its main messengers of this form of craft, more
specifically the parish of Candosa. Arriving at
this place, there is a statue that pays homage
to the potters who for decades, men, women,
entire families dedicated themselves to pottery,
in its various functions. Over time artists were
lost, but never their ‘strength’, as this art was the
main subsistence of many of the people of this
municipality.
