O “Monumento ao Cristo” trata-se de uma obra patrimonial que não passa indiferente a qualquer pessoa que visita este município. Localizado no centro da cidade e com uma altura de cerca de 17 metros, domina toda a vila, sendo visível de muitos pontos geográficos ao seu redor. Situado no topo de uma longa escadaria é também palco de encontro em festas e romarias que acontecem ao longo do ano em Vila Nova de Poiares. The “Monument ao Cristo” is a work of heritage that does not pass unnoticed to anyone visiting this municipality. Located in the centre of the town and with a height of about 17 metres, it dominates the whole village, being visible from many geographical points around it. This chapel of revivalist architecture has for tradition to receive pilgrims and strangers from most of the Beiras region, on the second weekend of August to ask for their prayers.
