If the observer gains are chosen to be the values when ω 0 = 300 , the poles <strong>of</strong> machine<br />

model <strong>an</strong>d observer models with the designed observer gains under varying rotor speed<br />

condition are shown in Figure 10.10(a) <strong>an</strong>d Figure 10.10(b) respectively. The poles with<br />

positive slip frequency (motoring) are blue while <strong>an</strong>d the poles with negative slip<br />

frequency (generating) are marked as red. Since the operating slip <strong>of</strong> the <strong>induction</strong><br />

machine is within 0.03~0.05, depending on the load condition, the slip value in the<br />

<strong>an</strong>alysis is chosen to be 0.05 to simulate the heavily loaded condition. The simulation<br />
