in [8.14]. In [8.15-8.17], the studies on single-phase self-excited <strong>induction</strong> generators<br />

have been presented. The equivalent circuit model is used to <strong>an</strong>alyze the <strong>induction</strong><br />

generators in most <strong>of</strong> the works reported [8.3-8.17].<br />

With the development <strong>of</strong> power electronics, more <strong>an</strong>d more studies have been<br />

focused on PWM converter excited <strong>induction</strong> generators [8.18-8.23]. Two system<br />

topologies are found <strong>an</strong>d their diagrams are shown in Figure 1.4.<br />
