The cable is to be taken up; or the cams and<br />
limit switches are to be adjusted.<br />

stop device, and' pressure fails to build up<br />
in the system; the equipme~t 1s to be checked<br />
in the same manner as for:pressure failure with<br />
controls set for hoisting. (See par. 93.)<br />
95. Stopping inaccurate.<br />
(a) When operating with the controls set for a<br />
TrServo ElectricalTr cont.r oLl.edccyc I'e; and the'<br />
car fails to stop within one inch <strong>of</strong> the intended<br />
stopping position the trouble will probably<br />
be one <strong>of</strong> the f6116wihg rea§ons::<br />
(1) The starting handle is held down when the<br />
car is approaching the loading or the upper<br />
unloading stations which will cause the hoist<br />
to overtravel afid strike·the~buffers. !<br />
This is improper' controlling <strong>of</strong> the<br />
unit, by the operator,'~s the starting<br />
handle is to be r eLeased as soon as the<br />
car has moved a few inches.<br />

(2) The hoisting cable has stretched in excess<br />
<strong>of</strong> the two inches allowed for on the B-end<br />
cams.<br />
Adjust the cams or shorten the cable if<br />
the cams have been d6welled'in pface.<br />
(3) The limi t switches' are not properly adjusted.<br />
Readjust the limit §witches.<br />
(4) The brake improperly adjusted to hold the<br />
load.<br />
Readjust-brake.<br />
(5 ) Brake band worn, oil soaked,<br />
permit brake to slip.<br />
