He/she/it takes the eggas from the bowl.<br />

Letters for Mary came via mail.<br />

The preposition ‘αντίς’ means ‘instead of’. This preposition does not have a specific case. The case it takes depends on the case of the verb<br />

with which it is used.<br />

Φερειπείν<br />

Διά του το τζ’είνου αντίς της κοπελλούας<br />

He/she/it gives it to him instead of the girl.<br />

Προτιμάς το τούτον αντις τζ’είνον;<br />

Do you prefer this instead of that?<br />

Πάεις ειστό σκολείον αντίς ειστό γυμναστήριον;<br />

Are you going to school instead of the gym?<br />

20.7 Με – With/By<br />

The preposition ‘με’ means ‘with’ or ‘by’. This preposition takes the Genitive – Γενική. This preposition is mainly used with NOUNS.<br />

Φερειπείν<br />

Πάω με το μπισικλίν ειστο σκολείον<br />

I go to school by bicycle.<br />

Ο Γιώρκος πάει με το κάρρον ντου ειστην δουλγάν.<br />

George goes to work with his car.<br />

Μαειρεύκω πατάτες με κρίας<br />

I am cooking potatoes with meat.<br />

20.8 Μιτά - With<br />

The preposition ‘αντίς’ means ‘instead of’. This preposition takes the Genitive – Γενική. This preposition is mainly used with PERSONS.<br />

Φερειπείν<br />

Ο Γιώρκος τζ’αι ο Μιχάλης επήαν μιτά του Δημήτρη ειστήν Αγγλίαν<br />

George and Michael went with Jimmy to England.<br />

Τούτοι εφάσιν μιτά τους εψές<br />

They ate with them yesterday night.<br />

Πάω μιτά της Ελένης στον ψουμάν<br />

I am going with Helen to the bakery.<br />
