20.13 Εώς/Ώς – Until/By<br />
The preposition ‘‘εώς’ means ‘until’ and takes the Accusative – Αιτιατική.<br />
Φερειπείν<br />
Εώς την Παρασκευήν πρέπει να αγοράσεις τα λίβρα.<br />
Until/by Friday you must buy the books.<br />
Ώς τα εχτές έν επόνηα το πόιν μου.<br />
Until yesterday my leg did not hurt.<br />
Ώς τες τρείς η ώρα δουλεύκω.<br />
I work until three o’clock.<br />
20.14 Ώς - As<br />
The preposition ‘ώς’ means ‘as’ and takes the Nominative – Ονομαστική.<br />
Φερειπείν<br />
Ώς ο μάστρος της επιχείρησης ποφασίζω εγιώ ήνταμπον γινίσκεται.<br />
As the CEO of the company I decide what happens.<br />
Ο άδρωπος ώς η πηγή της περιβαλλοντικής μόλυνσης...<br />
Man as the source of environmental pollution…<br />
Ειστό σκολείον ώς δασκάλοι πρέπει να είμαστιν παραδείγματα.<br />
At school as teachers we must set examples.<br />
20.15 Δίχα, δίχας, δίχου, δίχως - Without<br />
The preposition ‘δίχα, δίχας, δίχου, δίχως’ mean ‘without’ and take the Accusative – Αιτιατική only when they are used with nouns.<br />
Do its nature it is mainly used in sentences with negation.<br />
Φερειπείν<br />
Το μωρόν έν γκάμνει δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως την μάναν ντου.<br />
The baby cannot be without its mother.<br />
Η Μαρία έν μπάει δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως τον Μιχάλην ταξίιν.<br />
Mary will not go to a trip without Michael.<br />
Έν ιμπόρω δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως τον βοηθόν μου.<br />
I cannot do it without my assistant.<br />
The preposition ‘δίχα, δίχας, δίχου, δίχως’ take the Genitive – Γενική only when they are used with personal pronouns. Do its nature<br />
it is mainly used in sentences with negation.<br />
Φερειπείν<br />
Το μωρόν έν γκάμνει δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως της.<br />
The baby cannot be without her.<br />
Η Μαρία έν μπαει δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως του.<br />
Mary will not go without him.<br />
Έν ιμπόρω δίχας/δίχα/δίχου/δίχως του.<br />
I cannot work without him.<br />
20.16 Μέ...μέ – Neither…nor/Either…or<br />
The preposition ‘μέ...μέ’ means ‘neither…nor’ and takes the Nominative – Ονομαστική. This particle can be used in combination with<br />
nouns, verbs or pronouns.<br />
Φερειπείν<br />
Μέ θέλω φα-ίν μέ να πκιώ.*<br />
I want neither to ear nor to drink.<br />
Μέ τζ’είνον μέ το άλλον χιέλω.<br />
I want neither that or the other.<br />
Μέ κρίας τρώω μέ γαλακτοκομικά.<br />
