Cave Maps and Descriptions
The following is only a sampling of all the
caves offered. There are many caves with guided
trips not listed in the guidebook. For more in-
The caves published in the 2007 Convention
Guidebook are generally caves with only
full or open access. This list focuses mostly on
caves on government-owned land. When caves
on privately owned land were considered, the
long-term effect of guidebook publishing on
both the landowner and the cave itself were
given highest priority.
We decided that caves where the landowner
relations have a strained history yet the cave is
still open should probably be led trips only and
the maps not published in the Guidebook, only
available at the kiosk.
The Cave Selection Process
depth information and details please visit the
caving kiosk.
All these factors plus a familiarity of the
landowner’s unique wishes and personality as
well as the history of a cave’s access were taken
into consideration in the final judgment of
whether to publish the cave in the Guidebook.
These maps are now in your hands. Please
be mindful of their sensitive nature.
